Vintage Amherst Fly Rod Co. Bamboo Fishing Rod " The Scarborough " 8.5 ft ~Rare

I will be listing 4 Vintage Bamboo Fly Rods and some fishing reels all from a local New England estate and will try to get the rest on Sunday . This one is apparently a pretty rare  .This Bamboo Fishing Rod is  called " The Scarborough " and is 8.5 ft long and was made by the A.F.R Co or The Amherst Fly Rod Company and think were only open for short time in the late 40's and early 50's .It is a 3 piece rod but has 2 tips but one is very hard to get on and also 1" shorter but the rest looks to be in great condition with just a small piece missing from the cork handle (see photo) but no other damage.I believe it is the original tube but missing the screw on cap for one end .I am not a expert on the these so please check out all the photos and if you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask.
