Offered for sale here is a beautiful, Canon FL 50mm f3.5 Macro lens set. This is a macro package that is loaded with extra accessories. Please read below for a detailed inventory of all that is "included".
Other than its close focusing capability, this Canon FL 50mm macro lens is also designed for shooting at conventional focusing distances. An extra long helicoid makes the tremendous focusing range of the 50mm Macro possible. Use it as you would any normal lens, focusing from 18 inches to infinity. In addition to its close-up and copy work capabilities, the 50mm Macro is a great lens for all function and applications. Attachment of the specially designed, included, "Canon Life Size Adapter increases the versatility of this lens, decreasing closest focusing distance shooting down to 0.205m allowing magnification from 0.5X to life-size. Use of a close up lens set or other optional, accessories (such as extension tubes, bellows) will permit even greater magnification.
This modern classic lens belongs with the very best Canon lenses ever made. Even wide open this lens beats the performance of many fast, expensive lenses when stopped down. It has awesome IQ, contrast, colors, and amazing sharpness. Free of distortions, CA or ghosting. This super sharp lens is one of my favorites for both close-ups and distance shots. Very versatile. A gorgeous, boxed, New/Old Stock, Canon FL 50mm f3.5 Macro lens that bears serial number: 30646. This specimen still has its gold, Japanese JMDC Inspection sticker attached. It was introduced June 1965, just two months after the Canon Pellix - Version I SLR was unveiled in April 1965. This sweet package comes fully accessorized and ALL is beautiful!! *For the above lens, there is a "Canon" metal, 58mm, slip-on front lens cap; a vintage, older style,"Canon" BL (bayonet locking) rear lens cap and a Hoya (Japan), 58mm UV filter. It has a deeply recessed front element that forms a built-in, lens hood, thus no accessory hood is required or cited in its Canon specifications.

Its original, "Canon Life Size Adapter ~ For Macro Canon Lens FL 50mm 1:3.5". It has a vintage, "Canon" push-on body cap on the front and an equally vintage, "Canon" BL (bayonet locking) rear lens cap. Like the master lens, it is difficult to find any signs of use. P>

Its original, Canon factory lens box with matching serial number. This box shows some shelf wear and signs of age. However it remains in a solid state, continuing to protect the lens and its leather case.

original, dedicated, "Canon", black leather, lens case. It has a compartment for the macro lens and one for the
Life Size Adapter, The top of the case has:
"Canon MACRO FL 50MM 1:3.5"
stamped into it and
"Made In Japan"
on the bottom.

; in English, 21 pages. Condition: Good - soiled & creased from box folding at the factory.

A RARE and very early, Canon FL lens brochure titled:
"Canon Interchangeable FL Lenses Instruction"
. It is 3" X 5 3/4" in size; it has 19 pages and it provides specifications for the first eight (8) FL lenses that Canon offered at that time in 1964. Also included are instructions for use, types of lenses and their purposes and more! This brochure has been used and it shows some light, signs of wear and age at the corners and edges. It is complete, it has no writing or other notes. No bad tears or other obvious damage. SEE PICTURES!

Finally, there is another publication titled:

. This brochure in a slightly larger format (8 1/4" X 7 7/8"); full color, 4 pages, Publication No. 5256D, printed in Japan, an English edition for Bell and Howell (Canon's US distributor), in July 1968.

There are very light signs of use and age. The beautiful glass is free of scratches,cleaning marks, separation, fungus, etc. The multi-coated optical surfaces of the lenses are in very nice shape! This is a great looking lens with gorgeous cosmetics and smooth focusing action. I think you will be very happy with their condition and their dynamic performance!
This classic, Canon FL Macro lens is a fine example of the highest quality, Japanese photographic design and engineering that Canon was capable of creating. This nice lens will make a fine addition to your film/digital arsenal. It is both a nice jewel for the collection shelf and a great tool for the art of photography!!
The Canon Pellix, the camera stand and bottle of Tabasco are NOT included as a part of the items offered for sale. They were used as photographic props to display how nice this Canon macro lens looks when hooked up to a modern classic, Canon SLR and to show a size comparative.
