This auction is for a 1940’s Montague Sunbeam Bamboo 9ft Fly Rod with original Tube and Sleeve. The rod is in very good vintage condition for being about 80 years old. The original thread wrap on the guides is in good solid condition. The Sunbeam comes with its original extra tip section and a third tip section. The Third tip section could be from the 8 1/2 foot Montague Sunbeam because the bamboo and hardware are the same, but the thread wrap is a little different. Anyways it’s included in the auction and the rod comes with three tips! The rod tube has done its job with some dings and dents, but is still solid and the cap comes off easily.
